Will TM-30 replace CRI for LEDs?

CRI, the abbreviation for the Colour Rendering Index, is the simple measure of how well a light illuminates an object in comparison to natural light. Some report that the CRI isn’t the most accurate for colour rendering measures, and have lead the way for alternative measuring indexes to be conceived. The new TM-30 measure, named after the technical document it originates, is looking more likely as a replacement to the CRI as it boasts a better colour measuring index. Continue reading
